Wall Painting

All creatures are interconnected and dependent on each other. These connections can be visible or invisible. In a sustainable society one take care of all these connections because they are the bond that keeps our world together. This bond is visualized in these series by intersections of lines.
Sculpture

The sculptural work in marble is about resistance: how do we face resistance in a practical and philosophical way? There is beauty in the confrontation with such a resistance as marble shows: It is a hard work and meditation on boundaries we cannot cross. The work in wood is about a soft material that bears endless traces of life. Covered with moss a kind of life goes on and tells us that there is a new beginning after each end.
Unchangeable Variety – There is Beauty in Heaviness

The omnipresence of cancer in our society and specialist literature inspired me to approach the difficult topic using artistic means. With my 150-part series of images intends to relieve the illness of some of its gravity by focusing on the biochemical events within the body and the individual perception of cancer. In order to achieve this I use strong color pigments (oil on paper) and a variety of shapes and application techniques in a small format (15x10cm). The vivid colors and expressive shapes reflect, on the one hand, what is happening inside the body, and on the other hand, the individual perception of cancer, in its gravity for those affected as well as their environment The name refers to a sea creature, the crab. It is characterized by a large variety of forms and ability to adapt to different habitats and lifestyles. That is exactly the characteristic of the illness and my series of pictures. A poem underlines the pictorial debate. My series with its strong colors and forms, intends to give to those affected by the disease strength, energy and confidence but also wants to change the public towards a more positive perception of it.
Mediterraneum

The «Mediterraneum» series is a colorful and expressive abstract series (oil on paper) in two formats: 70x50cm and A4. Their colorful force is an expression of the Mediterranean, its history but also its flora and fauna. The Mediterranean has been a place steeped in history since time immemorial: sea battles, trade wars and the development of civilization shaped it. Venice is just one pearl among many in this space and a testimony to this eventful and magnificent history. On the other hand, there are the flora and fauna as well as the unique light of the Mediterranean which inspired so many artists to create great works of art.
Sei Nell’Anima

The small-format (A4) abstract series “Sei Nell’Anima” (oil on paper) is about a self-contained ego and at the same time addresses a you. Half of the series is black and the other half is colored. The black series accentuates the concentration and sharpness of an ego turning to its spiritual side and at the same time opens a door to the you. Due to the colors the other half of the series is softer in expression and shows the manifold transitions from the self to the you. The shapes are geometric and thus express a clear, direct line from the I to the you.
Birch Series Abstract

The birch series has its seed in the beauty of the white trunks of these trees. Northern Europe is in many parts covered with birch forests. The poetics of this special white rhythm of lines and their diversity was a formal inspiration. The variable atmospheres of light entering a birch forest show manyfold color variations among the interspace of the white trunks. The series is worked with oil technique on jute.

Dalmis
